earthly mission: accepted
When I accepted this mission here on earth the universe told me the following:
“Here on earth, they value efficiency, consumption, and speed.”
I looked at the universe and said,
“Then I will go slow, be present, take only what I need while being appreciative of what I have. After all, the meaning of this life is found within the journey, right?”
Source looked at me out of the side of their eye. As if ignoring what I said previously.
“Here on earth, they deem being tall & slim with blue eyes and blonde, beach wavy hair to be beautiful. They value looking good and being liked over feeling good and being connected.”
I rested my hand to my chin, , draped in thought. After a moment’s meditation I said,
“Source, please give me eyes the color of emeralds and for fun, drop some copper in the left one. Give me the wildest, curliest hair you can muster up. Make me short, & give me the ability to find myself within, where genuine beauty truly lies.”
Source stood up straight, took a deep breath and said,
“Down on earth, people care much about themselves and furthering their status in society. Some will do whatever it takes and use whomever they can, to get to where they want to go as quickly as they can get there.”
I made eye contact with the universe and held it for about 6 seconds before responding.
“Then allow me to be a lesson. Allow me to possess the skills to reach people on a level that neither of us has ever known to exist in this time lapse. Let me connect with these people so that I can help them find their way back to themselves. Allow me the strength to endure the tragedies that will help me better understand the world & those who find their place near me.”
The universe looked up before looking back over at me & said, “what is it that you’re trying to do?”
With a quick side smirk I stated, “I want to be a catalyst for change, for softness, for appreciation. I want people to feel understood, safe, and comfortable. I want to be warm and inviting. I want to be a walking contradiction to everything we’re told we’re supposed to be, and I want people to notice just how impactful being yourself can be. I want an aura like warm honey; soft, warm, sticky & sweet…”
& with one steady boom of the universe, I was created and in waiting.
Waiting for the stars & the planets to align perfectly to birth me when and where I needed to be.
& that’s how you begin to change the world into the one you wish to exist. You have to remember why you are the way you are. You have to remember what fuels you, and what brings you back to yourself.
No matter how much it hurts sometimes,
No matter the tragedies you endure,
nor people you encounter who shape your perceptions.
When you’re solid in who you are, where you want to be, & what you’re doing with a deeply rooted reason as to why,
everything you do will begin to make sense.
